Performance After Winning the Competition -- July 11, 2004
Greg and five members of the Academy of Tap, Jazz, and Ballet in Bellingham, MA won first place in the Adult Division, Group Performance category at the Talent America Finals held at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York City July 9-11.
Talent America is a nationwide talent search that begins with a series of regional competitions in the areas of dance, vocal performance, acting, and modeling. Winners of regionals earn the ability to compete at the national level. The group presented this performance at the regional competition last February in Providence affording them the opportunity to compete in New York.
Greg sang "To Where You Are" while Melisa Tancrell, Jessica Sztabor, Lauren Suffoletto, Ashley Diogo and Lacey Hebert performed a pointe ballet routine before a panel of judges which included casting directors, choreographers, vocal coaches, theatrical and modeling agents.
The group of women have been studying at the Academy of Tap, Jazz and Ballet under the direction of Denise Gauthier-Cabral for many years.
(In 2002, Greg won Talent America's Adult Talent Competition and special recognition as Best Legitimate Male Vocalist.)
